VASTA EDIA+ Conference & Symposia Travel Scholarship
Symposia Dates: June 27-29th, 2024 // October 25th-27th, 2024
Funds to be used for Location: Melbourne, Australia // Leeds, United Kingdom
VASTA as an organization values the benefit of hearing the voices and ideas of a diverse group of practitioners. These scholarships aim to provide an opportunity for voice practitioners from underrepresented or historically marginalized populations in the U.S., Canada and other countries with interest in attending the VASTA Conferences or Symposia.
VASTA will offer the following award for each of the two 2024 in-person symposia:
- $1250 scholarship
- A waived conference fee per scholarship recipient
- One year free membership to VASTA per recipient
Applicants need not be current VASTA members.
You are eligible for the VASTA Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Conference Travel Scholarship if:
- You identify as a member of an underrepresented group (including, but not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, differently-abled, and/or gender identification).
- Have the financial need to travel to the conference.
- Have not attended more than one VASTA conference.
To apply, please complete this form on the VASTA website by April 8, 2024. Award recipients will be notified by mid-April.
