VASTA Marketing Coordinator Job Announcement

The Marketing Coordinator will report to the Managing Director of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA).
At VASTA, you’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to advancing the voice and speech profession. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in expanding VASTA’s online presence, promoting events, and raising the organization’s profile. This is a flexible, remote position with approximately 3 hours of work per week at $27/hour. Compensation may be negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase VASTA's reach and engagement.
- Create and schedule content across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) for VASTA’s committees, groups, and officers.
- Respond to comments, messages, and engagement on social media platforms.
- Identify and share relevant external content that aligns with VASTA’s mission.
- Coordinate marketing efforts for events, webinars, and initiatives.
- Collaborate and communicate with the Managing Director to create membership growth and activation campaigns on all marketing channels.
- Monitor social media analytics and adjust strategies as needed.
- Assist in creating marketing materials, including email campaigns and announcements.
The ideal candidate for this role is:
- Passionate about the vibrant world-wide community of voice and speech professionals that make up the VASTA membership, from dialect coaches to speech pathologists to acting-theater professors.
- A creative and strategic thinker with a passion for digital marketing.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Familiar with social media trends and analytics tools.
- Experienced in creating content for nonprofits and/or arts organizations.
- Comfortable working independently and managing their time effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience in social media management, marketing, or related fields.
- Proficiency with social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Proficiency with graphic design tools and software (Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, etc) a plus.
- Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp) is a plus.
- Understanding of VASTA’s mission and commitment to upholding its values.
- Availability for regular check-ins and timely communication.
