Come along in May for a relaxed chat all about Audiobook Narration. Joining us will be Justine Sloane-Lees and Abbe Holmes - two highly experienced Australian creatives with over 30 years in the business, including Australian radio and voice over. We will gain insight into the Australian audiobook industry from Justine and Abbe’s unique perspectives. Discussion will include comparison with other global markets, career entry points, and best practice in this fascinating field.

Justine Sloane-Lees creative career spans thirty years. She is a director and producer of audio features, fictions and books and is host of 'The Audiobook Podcast.' Having spent twenty-five years in the ABC's Radio Drama and features unit, she is currently Senior Audiobook Director with SquareSound Melbourne, creating quality audiobook content for clients including Hachette Australia, Wavesound, Penguin Random House Australia, Podium Audio, Deyan Audio, Audible US and Audible Australia. Justine has also recently completed commissioned work for the ABC, as well as recording location sound effects for BBC Radio Drama. She has worked and collaborated with some of Australia's best writers, actors, playwrights and performance-makers. In addition to being in the studio, Justine also helps foster the next generation of acting talent through her teaching at various universities and institutions. http://justinesloanelees.net.au/

Abbe has built a reputation as the top voiceover coach in Australia, and for 15 years through her online business Voiceovercoach.com.au has coached those wanting to build a voiceover or audiobook narration career, as well as working with voiceover Pro’s who want to develop their careers further.
