The 2021 VASTA Conference committee is seeking a passionate, creative, and driven Virtual
Events Coordinator for the 2021 annual conference, Rising Voices. In this role, you will work
directly with the conference directors on all facets of coordinating the virtual components of the
This is a paid position based on experience.
Manage (with a volunteer team you create) the entire digital, internet-based setup and execution of all virtual events using the technical event platform, including but not limited to: hosting Zoom sessions, recording virtual sessions, and creating and managing the conference website.
Research and source technology needs for the conference, in consultation with the conference directors.
Set up and import data into the event’s platform; continue to manage the platform through execution of the conference.
Work with the conference agenda provided by the conference directors, and suggest modifications if needed.
The conference planning team will provide all relevant attendee profiles, and along with recordings/presentations, will be imported into the conference platform by the virtual events coordinator.
Provide tech support for attendees during event execution on the conference platform.
We are looking for someone who is excited to work on the virtual components of this conference with our team.
We are hoping to find someone who is able to intuitively navigate varying technologies to make the 2021 conference a memorable experience for our members - don’t feel like you necessarily have to be “tech-savvy” for this position.
Have some experience with audio and video editing programs.
